Douglas's Story
Life
Since I've graduated from Patapsco High School back in June of 1990,I did my 13 weeks of Basic Training including Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Sill,Oklahoma & then I served as a Field Artillery 13 Bravo Cannon Crew Member in the U.S. Army at Fort Lewis,Washington State, though my military career was cut short on April 18th, 1991 due to being injured from a hit & run accident on base in which I'm currently receiving medical care & benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). I'm now married to my wife Michele that I met through our friend Dawn "Beauchamp" Tripp back during 12th grade at Patapsco High & we have a precious eight 1/2 year old daughter Rachel.We all 3 live in a single home in Dundalk,Maryland. I'm also a life member of Dundalk D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans) Chapter 21, Paid Up for Life (P.U.F.L.) member of the American Legion in which I belong to Dundalk Post 38. I'm currently Sergeant at Arms of both the American Legion Post 38 & D.A.V. as well as a member of the Men's Auxiliary at Dundalk Memorial V.F.W. Post 6694 on Pine Avenue in Dundalk, Maryland. Military
I did my basic training & AIT in Fort Sill, Oklahoma during October of 1990 thru January of 1991. In 1991 my rank & pay grade was Private E2 while being stationed at my permanent duty station Fort Lewis, Washington, My Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) was 13 Bravo Cannon Crew Member (Field Artillery) & now I'm proudly serving as member of both the American Legion & DAV (Disabled American Veterans, as well as a member of the VFW Men's Auxiliary. I'm currently a paid up for life member "P.U.F.L. and also Sergeant at Arms of American Legion Post 38 in Dundalk,Maryland, and I am also currently a life member of Dundalk, Maryland D.A.V. "Disabled American Veterans" Chapter 21. & member of the Men's Auxiliary of the Dundalk Memorial VFW Post 6694.
